Norio is 21 1/2 years old (about – we adopted him as a young adult stray in the middle of 2021) and has been losing weight for the past year. Our vet in Japan said this is normal for older cats. (The same thing happened to all of our other old cats before they died.) Naomi took this picture with Norio’s tunic removed, to show how he looks. (Norio tends to get tangles in his fur and the vet just shaves off the tangles, which makes his fur look a little ragged.)
